06-11-1913 (City Council) Minutes Wylie Tex 6/11/13
The Town Council of the Town of Wylie met in regular seccion at First Natl. Bank. After
the roll call of officers the minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Soliciting committee reported $84.50 collected for crossing on Ballard Ave.
Report of St committee was read as follows—we the St. Committee wish to submit the
following for your consideration. We find that Jackson St needs grading and several
crossing & culverts need repairs. The Cotton Belt R of Way should be ditched from A. J.
Thompson property to corner of Clyde Potts premises and the Drain Boxes, the crossing
are both the Main Track and Switches need attention.
We find that the ditches & drain boxes of the Town full of weeds and need to be cleaned
out.
The crossing from Mrs. Mat Brown place is out and ask that the same be replaced. The
alley from G. W. Owens & Co to the Santa Fe Y. need grading.
The crossing between Mrs. Scott& J. A. Hammett need repair.
The spur of Santa Fe leading to Trinity Gin needs repair.
The crossing on the St from Baptist Church to McAdams Lumber Co. needs repair.
Same Ditching is needed at the S. E. corner Mrs. Callaway property.
We believe that the St between Mr. V. B. Gallagher&L. L. Gant should be graded.
The crossing between H. Ham Co &Rustler Office needs repair.
The clerk was instructed to notify Cotton Belt to plank their crossing also of drainage
needed.
The clerk was instructed to notify Santa Fe to put in drain box down by J. A. Wilson and
repair crossing at Trinity Gin.
J. I. Blalock was appointed to see mgrs at Plano in regards to closets.
