AN ORDINANCE FOR ANNEXATION: TO ANNEX TO THE CITY OF
WYLIE, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, A TRACT OF LAND OF THE
E. C. DAVIDSON SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 266
UPON PETITION OF Dwight D. Scott
WHEREAS, Dwight D. Scott has filed a written petition to annex to
the City of Wylie, Collin County, Texas, the tract of land her.einafter described,
which said tract of land less than three (3) qualified voters reside, all of which
said facts the City Council hereby finds to be true and correct; and
WHEREAS, such petition has been heard and considered by the City Council, and it
been decided that such annexation of such tract of land would be to the best in-
terest of the public and of the said City of Wylie, Texas, and that such petition
for annexation should be, and the same is now granted; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF WYLIE, TEXAS:
That the following described tract of land, described by notes and bounds as

Thi~ is to certify that 1 have this date made a careful and accurate
sucvey on the ground of the property described as follows:
SITIJATED in Collin County, Texas, out of the E. C. Davidson Survey,
Abstract No. 266, and being a resurvey of a called 30 acre tracl of
land described in a deed from Cliff E. Huddleston, et ux, to A. D.
Hoyd, as recorded in Volume 671, Page 720 of the Collin Countv De~d
Records, and being more particularly described in two tracts as follows:
TRACT 1:
BEGINNING at the southwest corner of the said called 30 acre tract in
the north line of a 50 ft. county road;
THENCE NO 041'4 S"W, at 884.30 feet the center1 ine of the St. Loui s &
Southwestern Railroad R.O.W., in all on this line, 1939.30 feel along
the west line of the said called 30 acre tract to a point for corner;

of the said county road;

place of beginning and containing 16.184 Gross Acres of land, of which
0.839 Acres is in the railroad R.O.W., leaving 15.345 Net Acres of land.

BEGINNING at an iron rod found in place at the most southerly southeast
rorner.of .the.said called 30 acre tract in the north line of a SO ft.
county road;

be received, annexed to, and made part of - and the same is hereby received,
annexed to, and made part of - the City of Wylie, Collin County, Texas, subject
to all laws, rules and regulations of said City.
The fact that such annexation of said tract of land will be to the best interest
of the public and the City of Wylie, and, because pla.nned improvements upon said
lands create an emergency, a necessity exists requiri~tig that this ordinance be
passed and adopted on first reading. This Ordinance shall be in force and effect
from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor of Wylie.
