AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CITY
OF WYLIE RELINQUISHES ANY AND ALL EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION IT MAY
HAVE IN AND TO THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED LAND SO THAT SAID LAND MAY
BECOME A PART OF THE EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF THE CITY OF
LUCAS, TEXAS AND SUBJECT TO BEING ANNEXED BY THE CITY OF LUCAS, TEXAS;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of the City of Wylie to relinquish
any and all extraterritorial jurisdiction it may have in and to the following described
land so that the same may become a part of the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City
of Lucas and subject to being annexed by the City of Lucas, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS:
SECTIO N 1.
The City of Wylie, Texas, hereby relinquishes to the City of Lucas, Texas, any
and all extraterritorial jurisdiction in the following described land which it has or may
have acquired under the provisions of the Municipal Annexation Act, Article 970a,
Vernon's Revised Civil Statutes of the State of Texas, and upon the passage of this
ordinance, the said City of Wylie, Texas, shall no longer have or exercise any right,
jurisdiction or control over said land which is known as the Trinity Park area and
described on Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto and made a part hereof for all
purposes.
SECTION 2.
This release of extraterritorial jurisdiction is made solely so that said land may
be annexed into and become a part of the City of Lucas, Texas, and should any other
town or city annex or attempt to annex any part of said land, or should the City of
· Lucas hereafter disannex the area or cease to be an incorporated city, this release and
waiver of extraterritorial jurisdiction shall be null and void and of no force or effect.
SECTION 3.
The City Council finds that the best interest and welfare of the general public
of the City of Wylie will be served by releasing extraterritorial jurisdiction to said
land so that the same may be annexed by the City of Lucas. This ordinance shall take
effect immediately from and after its passage as the law in such cases provides, and it
is accordingly so ordained.

DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED ULTIMATE CITY LIMIT LINE
BETWEEN WYLIE AND LUCAS, TEXAS
BEGINNING at the intersection of the East line of Aztec Trail and
the South line of the LEROY FARMER SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 334, the
same being on the boundary line as agreed between the City of
Lucas and the City of St. Paul dated July 17, 1975;
THENCE Northerly along the projection of the East line of Aztec
Trail to the South line of the ORPHA SHELBY SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO.
799;
THENCE Easterly along the South line of the ORPHA SHELBY SURVEY
(A-799) to the Southeast corner thereof;
THENCE Northerly along the East line of the ORPHA SHELBY SURVEY
(A-799) to a point that is 600 feet South of the Northwest corner
of the D. FARMER SURVEY;
THENCE Easterly parallel to and 600 feet South of the North line
of the D. FARMER SURVEY to a point that is 3,200 feet East of the
West line of the D. FARMER SURVEY; and
THENCE Northerly parallel to and 3,200 feet East of the West line
of the D. FARMER SURVEY to a point that intersects the Easterly
extension of the Fairview-Lucas boundary agreement as described
in a Joint Resolution Between The Cities Of Fairview And Lucas
dated March 1, 1977 and filed in Volume 1045 at Page 775 of the
Collin County Deed Records.
