library staff has reviewed the extended use fees and other fees and made some
changes. Fees added are primarily for materials that are damaged. Replacements
include barcodes, book jackets, and labels. The staff recommends changing the
extended use fee for DVDs from $1.00 to .50. The library staff has created an invoice
form to give to patrons with extended use fees and other fees.

DISCUSSION ITEMS
The meeting room policy was discussed. Rachel felt that the meeting room policy was too
vague. The Library Board members agreed that the policy was not specific enough. They
were concerned that the responsibility fell on the library staff to make decisions. Rachel
explained that the City Attorney left it open and that the parameters were based on the hours
of operation.
STAFF REPORTS
Rachel passed out information about ReferenceUSA and MyLibraryDV and explained those
services.
The library book sale was successful from a public relations standpoint. The Friends will be
evaluating whether to have another one next year.
