(C Ehrlich, Public Arts Advisory Board Coordinator) Board Discussion PAC Ehrlich reported that during the November 23rd PAAB meeting there was concern regarding the revisions suggested by the artist and fire committee. The revision took away the pond that would be under Minutes December 14,2021 Public Arts Advisory Board Page 1 the towers and replaced it with stained concrete even with the base. It also took away the bridges leading visitors, one at a time to the Twin Tower metal remains. Board members believed this redesign took away the integrity of the overall design for NEVER FORGET and was very dull. Ehrlich reported that after speaking to the artist, a new revision is attached in the agenda packet. These revisions put back the two bridges leading to the tower metal. It also includes a lower level under the bridges that was originally a water pond and replaces it with stained concrete overlaid with a layer of heavy glass balls which from a distance will appear to reflect the towers much like water. She noted the bridges would be 3 feet wide to accommodate for ADA. Ehrlich reported the fire committee was agreeable to these revisions as well. Board member discussion and consensus was that this was a great revision to stay within the integrity of the original design and eliminate any maintenance with a water pond. Board Action A motion was made by board member Bellah, seconded by board member Courtney to approve the revisions as presented for "NEVER FORGET" art project for Fire Station #4. A vote was taken and the motion passed 6-0 with board member Shank absent.
