ORDINANCE NO. 2000-14
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 2-27-96 PROVIDING FOR
USE OF PARK FUNDS; CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS:
The Code of Ordinances of the City of Wylie be amended as follows:
SECTION 1
Sec. 78-243. Use of Funds.
This Ordinance shall repeal section 78-243 of the Wylie Code of Ordinances in its entirety.
Any and all fimds collected by the city parks and recreation department will be used primarily for
the maintenance and/or upgrading of athletic facilities and the paying of electrical utility bills in
regard to athletic field light usage at Community Park. Secondary use of fimds collected will be for
maintenance and/or upgrading other facilities at Community Park. All fimds collected will be
allocated to the Community Park Fund.
SECTION 2
This ordinance shall. be in full force and effect from and after its adoption by the City Council and
publication of its caption as the law and the City Charter provide in such cases.
SECTION 3
The repeal of any ordinance, or parts thereot: by the enactment of this Ordinance, shall not be
construed as abandoning any action now pending under or by the virtue of such ordinance; nor shall
it have the effect of discontinuing, abating, modifying or ahering any penahy accruing or to accrue,
nor as effecting any rights of the municipality under any section or provisions of any ordinances at
the time of passage of this ordinance.
