Ordinance 1973-13 ORDINANCE NO. 73-13 AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING CERTAIN STREETS AND ALLEYS WITHIN THE CITY~ PROVIDING FOR DIVISION OF THE PROPERTY TO THE ABUTTING PROPERTY OWNERS, PROVIDING FOR UTILITY EASEMENTS WHERE NEEDED FOR EXISTING WATER AND SEWER LINES AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED By the City Council of the City of Wylie, Texas: Section 1: After the necessary notices, time period and public hearing, the City Council hereby abandons the following streets and alleys~ the 200 and 300 Blocks of North Third, bounded on the north by Brown Street and the south by the Santa Fe Railroad property~ the alley running north and south in Block 3, Railroad Addition and East Jefferson Street from the Santa Fe Railroad property on the east to the east alley right-of-way of Blocks 4 and 9 of Railroad addition on the west. Section 2: The aforesaid property, formerly streets and alleys, shall be divided by the abutting property owners on a pro-rata basis, be it further understood that should this property be sub-divided the streets and alleys will revert to the City of Wylie, Texas. Section 3: Due to the fact that there are existing utility lines within the property, there shall be provided adequate utility easements for all lines which heretofore were located in street or alley right-of-ways. Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect at the time all easements for water and sewer service have been filed for record. PASSED AND APPROVED this the 13th day of November, 1973.
