The City met in regular session December 8, 1964. Present: ''ayor Hampton
Councilmen: hard. Shields, St. John, Liclman and Onstot. City Atty. John
Gay, City, Adm. Jack H. d ;.itt end City Secy. Oneida Gallagher.
The meeting wa;J called to order by Layer 11aapton. The minutes of the last
regular meeting were rsa -nd a _-roved as read, motion by Council/ an S'_,ields
and seconded by Councilman St. John. ibtion carried.
Request from T . L. Trimble fro re-zoning of Lot 1A, Block 1 of the Russell
Addition from its present zoning classification of Si _le Family Residen-
tial dwelling to a classification of i'iultiple Fa- ily Residential, was pas-
sed on a ::notion by Councilam Onstot end seconded. by Councilman Shields .
Unanimous Ayes .
Request from Jick ousewright for the re-zoning of Lot 14, of Abstract
820 from its presetn zoning classification of Single Family Residential
d.:elling to a Classification of C-1-R Commercial (Retail Outlet) passed
on a motion by Counc'.lm .n St. John and seconded by Councilman `:yard.
Unanimous Ayes .

A letter of complaint from Bob Chaney. I, Bob Chaney being a 1!';,.aster
Plumber, filed a complaint with the City Inspector, December -, 1964. I
now, file a formal complaint with the City hall against all unlicensed
plumbers in the City of 'Jylie, Texas.

quate to cover the bonded indebtedness and are not adeouato to cover the
services rendered to con:ercial establishents and the fact that the possible
overloading of the sewer system without adeuate conpensation creates a

RESOLUTIO N
°1HF REAS, the foroboarers of citizen and civic endeavor chose the
present site of Lake Lavon and Lake Lavon Dana to conserve and safe-
guard a water supply for the demanding porulation; and
WHER .4S, the annual rainfall with which ve have been Blessed has
not only increased the storage and enlarged the boundry of Lake
Lavon but has enhanced the beauty of the shores and surroundings; and
``!HEREAS, on numerous occasions the rainfall has caused a flooding
condition on the Lucas to Branch County road; and
WHERES, the farmers, ranchers, tourists, sunnier home owners,
Baptist Tncampriont visitors, and sportsmen, especially from Dallas
East, hesquite, Garland, and the area in and around the City of
iylie, in addition to the areas of Clear Lake Park, the Baptist
Encampment, Elmwood Park, Branch, Ticky Creak Park, Culleoka,
and Princeton do utilize th Lucas to Branch County road to much
advantage because of direct acconodation to and thru I: ylie; and
-riHEREAS, it is contemplated that said Lake Lavon Dam will be raised
thus increasing storage ;possibilities and etending the Boundries
of Lake Lavon even further; and
WHER -AS, the City Council of the City of .!;;lie, Texas, met in
regular session at the City Hall of the City of ' 'y-1ie, Texas,
December 8, 1964, and examine into and investigate the plight
of those involved and did express cor:.passion for a perplexing
problem to their fellowmen; and
WHEREAS, at this regular session of the City Council a .motion
was made by : ayor Pro Ten R. D. Onstot and seconded by Council-
man T. J. Hickman and on the question Unanimous "AYES" were re-
corded in the minutes by the City Secretary in the official
minute book of the City of Wylie, Texas, to institute a resolution
signed by the hayor and attested by the City Secretary soliciting
favorable action by the County Judge and Commissioner' s Court to
coincide with the interest of the affected citizenry;
NO THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the ;.ayor and the City Council
of the City of 'Jylio, Texas , unanimously does activate, insti-
tute and directs) to the County Judge and the Conn:iissionerts Court
a registered avid interest in the retention of the Lucas to
Branch County road and rights of way and implores earnest considera-
tion to the necessary renovation of a passable road design that
will a direct connection with the City of Pylie and Highway
78 rather than Possible relocation to a point of disinterest in-
capable of serving those most affected.
