the Summer Reading Club Kick-Off Celebration.
As part of the goals for next year the library will host a tour for the city employees, visit the
WISD librarians, conduct oral histories of long-time Wylie residents and the opening day
collection.
On Tuesday, June 23, 2009 the RFID project will be presented to Mayor and Council. There will
not be a presentation, but the vendor representative will be available for questions.
May 11,2009 Library Advisory Board Regular Meeting Agenda Page 2 of 2
Rachel passed out the Circulation Policy for revisions. The Northeast Texas Library System (
NETLS) has received severe budget cuts requiring the library to change the policy because it
included NETLS services. Applicants now need to present a photo identification to get a card.
Adults do not fill out a form, they just present their I.D. The library signature affirms that they
have read the policy and agree to its terms. Patrons will have to pay fines before renewing their
cards. Instead of using "holds" as a term, the library will change it to "requests" to better reflect
the automation services. It is the patron's responsibility to update their contact information with
the library. Patrons will be notified of overdue materials. Final notices will be mailed to
patrons. The fines and fees were also reviewed.
The Naming Rights Policy is up for approval by Mayor and Council on Tuesday, June 9
at 7 p.m.
STAFF REPORTS
Summer Reading Club for all ages begins in June.
ADJOURNMENT
