07-03-1907 (City Council) Minutes Wylie,Texas July 3rd, 1907 The town council of the town of Wylie met in regular session on Wednesday evening,July 3, 07 with Mayor G.F. Ekhardt presiding. On roll call the following responded, G.F. Ekhardt, Mayor; LF. Brooks, Marshall,Jwannis, R Jackson, C.J. Gallagher,J.J. Hollomon,J. A. Hammett. The minutes of previous meeting were read and on motion and second were accepted. Moved and seconded that the marshal instruct Mr. W. L. Calloway to inform Mr. WM Cooper that if contract between the said WM Cooper and the town of Wylie as set forth in previous minutes was not signed in ten days that the town of Wylie would proceed to open up alley as the law directs. Motion carried. The quarterly report of Jwanis Treas was read and referred to the finance committee. On motion and second the following accounts were allowed: A.Brown, mowing streets 7.50 JM Brown, Hauling 2.00 Wylie, Rustler, Printing 2.50 R.L. Stone, Insurance on Town Hall 18.75 JW Russell for Dorsey Pmtg Co. 3.25 Annis Bros, Material .70 IF Brooks, Salary 25.00 Stamps 30 Labor 150 26.75 Housewright Hammitt Co. Material 3.80 Total 65.25 Motion and second that petition of I.F. Brooks and J.L. Blalock asking for permission to stoud Jack and Stallion on lots 11, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 Block 3 R.R. addition Town of Wylie be granted, motion carried. Moved and seconded the following parties; namely F.M. Brooks, G.W. Owens,T.F. Birmingham, JH Day for M Primer, M.M. Hackler, Flesar McDonald, E.S. Boyd,J.N. Burns, S.O. Carzine, W.N. Hieromymmus, R.A. Sale,Tom Corzince, M. Harriott Scott, W.R. Scott, C.D. Love, and Chris Durbin be given ten days notice to build on repair walks as set forth in minutes of previous meeting. Motion carried. Moved and second that the cotton belt. R.W. be given 30 days notice to open up drain ditches between Oak and Marble Sts. Motion carried. Moved and seconded that street committee hold conference with J.W. Smith and form an agreement relative to his walk as indicated in minutes of last meeting. Motion carried.
