RESOLUTION 1977-78-10-2
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS, EXEMPT-
ING ITSELF FROM VOLUNTEER FIREMEN'S RELIEF AND RETIREMENT FUND.
WHEREAS, Senate Bill #411 passed by the 65th Legislature-Regular
Session to Article 6243e.3~_1~to 25 chapter 269 under Section 2(b)
IIParticipation in the fund is optional. Any governing body may, not
later than 60 days after the effective date of this Act and in accor-
dance with the usual procedures prescribed for other official actions
of the governing body, elect to exempt itself from the requirement of
this Act. Any action to provide for an exemption from the requirements
of this Act may be recinded by the governing body at any time.lI; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wylie intends to exercise
its rights to exempt the City of Wylie from participation in the Fire
Fighter's Relief and Retirement Fund.
NOW THEREFORE;
BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Wylie exercises
its right as prescribed in the Volunteer Fire Fighter's Relief and
Retirement Fund Chapter 269, Vernon's Ann. Civ. St. Art. 6243e.3,
11 to 25,Section 2(b), to exempt the City of Wylie from participation
in the Fire Fighter's Relief and Retirement Fund.
