RESOLUTION #1978-79-9-3
A RESOLUTION OPPOSING THE ADDITIONAL POINT OF DELIVERY REQUEST OF
THE EAST FORK WATER DISTRICT TO THE NORTH TEXAS MUNICIPAL WATER DIS-
TRICT WITHIN THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS, EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION.
WHEREAS, The East Fork Water District has requested an additional point
of water delivery from the North Texas Municipal Water District; and,
WHEREAS, The said point of delivery lies within the extraterritorial
jurisdiction of the City of Wylie, Texas, and the City of Wylie has
repeatedly expressed a willingness to provide water to the area, pro-
viding the residents of said area meet certain requirements of the
City of Wylie; and,
WHEREAS, The extraterritorial jurisdiction has been encroached at sev-
eral locations in the past which will cause an extra expense to bring
up to subdivision standards when annexed by the city; and,
WHEREAS, The City Council has requested a resolution from East Fork
Water District to protect these encroachments which has not been pas-
sed by the East Fork Water District's Board; and,
WHEREAS, The City of Wylie, Texas is a member City of the North Texas
Municipal Water District, with certain rights and priviliges therein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Wylie, Texas, does
oppose the additional point of delivery and requests the North Texas
Municipal Water District to deny the request of the East Fork Water
District.
