A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS, OPPOSING ANY
COST SHARING WITH THE COLONY, AND OPPOSING THE EXTENSION OF THE SERVICE IF
ANY COST OF THIS EXTENSION WILL INCREASE COST TO THE CITY OF WYLIE, A GEN-
ERAL TELEPHONE CITY.
WHEREAS, On November 14, 1978, The City of Wyl ie, Texas, through its legal
council Theodore R. Kent did file a Petition In Intervention, Docket No.2169,
Inquiry By The Public Util ity Commission of Texas Into The Propriety of
Service By Southwestern Bell Telephone Company Between The Frisco Exchange
and The Dallas Metroplex Call ing Area; and,
WHEREAS, The City Counci 1 of The City of Wyl ie, Texas, opposes any cost
sharing with the City of Colony or any extension of service in any way which
increases the cost to citizens and rate payers of the City of Wyl ie, Texas.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS:
That it is in the best interests of the rate payers of the City of Wylie,
Texas, and therefore in the best interest of the City of Wyl ie, Texas, to
oppose any cost sharing with The Colony and the Frisco Exchange or any ex-
tension of service in any way which increases the cost to citizens and rate
payers of the City of Wylie, Texas.
