Resolution 78-79-07-03 RESOLUTION 1978-79-7-3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS SUSPENDING THE OPERATION OF PROPOSED RATE INCREASE SCHEDULES FILED BY LONE STAR GAS COMPANY, A DIVISION OF ENSERCH CORPORATION, FOR A PERIOD OF ONE HUNDRED TWENTY (120) DAYS BEYOND THE DATE ON WHICH SUCH SCHEDULES WOULD OTHERWISE GO INTO EFFECT. WHEREAS, Lone Star Gas Company, a public utility under Article 6050 et. seq. V.A.C.S. and Article 1446c V.A.C.S. (Supp. 1976) did on June 25, 1979 file a schedule of rates for gas service within the City of Wylie to become effective July 31, 1979; and WHEREAS, The City of Wylie acting under the Constitution and laws of the State of Texas, does have authority to regulate public utility rate requests; and WHEREAS, after having reviewed the materials presented to the Council and having heard the presentation of Lone Star Gas Company, it is the opinion of the City Council of the City of Wylie that such schedule of rates should be suspended for a period of 120 days from July 31, 1979, for further study, investigation, presentation of evidence and public hearing; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS: Pursuant to Section 43 (d) of the Public Utility Regulatory Act, the operation of the Lone Star Gas Company's proposed rate schedules filed with the City of Wylie, June 11, 1979, is hereby suspended for a period of 120 days from July 31, 1979, for further study, investigation, presentation of evidence and public hearing.
