RESOLUTION 79-80-12-4-PIRATES
WHEREAS: The 1979 FIGHTING WYLIE PIRATES FOOTBALL TEAM and Coaching Staff,
played with enthusiasm, desire, determination and sportmanship; and
WHEREAS: The 1979 FIGHTING WYLIE PIRATES FOOTBALL TEAM made each citizen of
our community proud and therefore increased community spirit each
time they took the field; and
WHEREAS: The 1979 FIGHTING WYLIE PIRATES FOOTBALL TEAM compiled a season
record of 11 wins and 1 loss which included a perfect season against
District 12-AA teams;
NOW THERFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of I~yl ie, Texas
does hereby notify you of our pride in your accomplishments and our desire that
you may forever know that you have been a part of a great team which exemplified
all of the reasons for which high school football is played. You have made a
great contribution to the City of Wylie and our citizens.
