RESOLUTION 79-BO-7-1
A RESOLUTION by the City Council of the City of
Wylie, Texas, approving, ratifying and
confirming the execution of a contract for
professional services of a financial advisor.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wylie, Texas,
has determined it to be advisable and necessary to contract
with First Southwest Company for professional services to be
rendered in connection with the ~inancing of land to be acquired
by the City for park purposes; and
WHEREAS, it is now proper for this Council to approve, ratify
and confirm the execution of said contract with First Southwest
Company; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WYLIE,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1: That the following contract submitted by
First Southwest Company, to wit:
is hereby approved, ratified and confirmed and the Mayor and
City Secretary are hereby authorized and directed to execute
said contract for and on behalf of the City of Wylie, Texas,
and as the act and deed of this City Council.
SECTION 2: That the aforementioned contract appearing in
Section 1 hereof shall be paid with the proceeds realized from
the sale of $130,000 "CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS, CERTIFICATES OF
OBLIGATION, SERIES 1980", dated July 15, 1980 (authorized and
sold pursuant to an ordinance passed by the City Council on
this date) and $ 6,600 of such proceeds are hereby allocated
and appropriated to pay said contract.
