Resolution 80-81-05-01 RESOLUTION NO. 80-81-5-1 WHEREAS, the various planning agencies have for several years urged the construction of a general aviation facil- ity in thi s area, and WHEREAS, the Joint Airport Site Selection Committee has studied several prospective sites and has concluded that, under current conditions, the Wylie Site warrants further study, to the extent that an application for a federal grant to prepare an environmental assessment and a master plan be prepared and submitted to the Federal Aviation Administration, and WHEREAS, the Joint Committee has suggested that the City of Wylie, which has extra-territorial jurisdiction of the proposed site, submit the application, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WYLI E, TEXAS: Section 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby directed to prepare and submit an application for a federal grant-in-aid to prepare an environmental assessment and a master plan for a general aviation facility at the Wylie Site, located north of F.M.544 and east of F.M.1378. Section 2. That if federal aid funds become available, local matching funds not to exceed $5,000 will be appropriated from the General Fund. Section 3.
