Resolution 80-81-06-01 RESOLUTION NO. 80-81-6-1 WHEREAS, the sanitary sewer lift station which is located near the north end of Dogwood is in dilapidated con- dition and needs to be replaced, and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it desirable to abandon this lift station and to construct a new sanitary sewer lift station approximately 1,100 feet down the small creek from the present location, and WHEREAS, the new 1 ift station would satisfactorily serve the present area of homes and would open approximately 45 to 50 acres of new area for subdivision development, and WHEREAS, the Council deems it necessary to pro rate approximately one-half the cost of construction for the new lift station; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WYLI E, TEXAS: Section 1. That the consulting engineering firm of Hogan & Rasor is hereby authorized to prepare plans and specifications for the sanitary sewer lift station and to invite bids for the purchase of the lift station equipment. Section 2. That approximately one-half the cost of the sanitary sewer lift station be financed by the assess- ment of a pro rata fee against new areas to be served by the lift station at the rate of $600.00 per acre or fraction thereof. 80-81-6-1 Section 3. That the City Manager is hereby in- structed to establish a pro rata ledger for the purpose of recording the assessments against the sanitary sewer lift station and the collection of revenue payments therefore within the service area of the lift station. Collections at the rate of $600.00 per acre shall be recorded in the ledger and the funds thus collected will be used to pay for the construction and maintenance of this lift station. Section 4. The pro rata due against a tract of land will be paid to the City prior to final plat approval for that tract. Section 5. That this Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
