Resolution 81-82-09-02 RESOLUTION # 81-82-9-2 WHEREAS, the City of Wylie anticipates a future need for smooth traffic flow from east to west and west to east along a thoroughfare to be known as Spring Creek Parkway, and WHEREAS, the City Council feels it is appropriate to select at least two preferred routes by which Spring Creek Parkway will approach the City of Wylie, and WHEREAS, the City Council is anxious to cooperate with its neighboring cities and with Collin County to the end that the most advantageous route can be selected for the future construction of Spring Creek Parkway, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS: Section 1. That the City Council's preferred choice for the route of Spring Creek Parkway is to come east out of Plano on Parker Road, swing to the southeast across the creek bottom to Park Boulevard, thence east cross the Birmingham Trust Land and continuing east along Wilson Road to an intersection with Highway 78. Section 2. That the second preferred route for Spring Creek Parkway is to come east out of Plano along Parker Road and continue along Parker Road to its intersection with FM1378, thence southeasterly along FM2514, with appropriate straightening of the curves, thence along Wilson Road to an intersection with Highway 78. Section 3. That certified copies of this resolution be furnished to appropriate and interested public officials in this area.
