Board members present included: Gloria Suarez, Robert Heath, and Manoj Padhi. Board members Afshan Khan, Chantelle McMurrian, and Eliza Clement were absent. Parks and Recreation Assistant Director, Brent Stowers, and Parks and Recreation Admin Assistant, Janet Pieper, were also in attendance. COMMENTS ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS Any member of the public may address Council regarding an item that is not listed on the Agenda. In addition, Council is not allowed to converse, deliberate or take action on any matter presented during citizen participation. No citizens came forward. DISCUSSION ITEMS All matters listed under the Consent Agenda are considered to be routine by the City Council and will be enacted by one motion. There will not be separate discussion of these items. If discussion is desired, that item will be removed from the Consent Agenda and will be considered separately. A. Board Introductions Board Discussion Parks and Recreation Assistant Director Brent Stowers led the board in introductions. REGULAR AGENDA 1. Consider and act upon a Public Art Advisory Board Chair to serve the 2025/2026 year. Board Action Board Member Suarez nominated Shank to serve as Public Arts Advisory Board Chair. A motion was made by board member Suarez, seconded by board member Heath, to appoint Steve Shank to serve as the Public Arts Advisory Board Chair for the 2025/2026 year. A vote was taken and the motion passed 4-0 with board members McMurrian, Khan, and Clement absent. 2. Consider and act upon a Public Art Advisory Board Vice Chair to serve the 2025/2026 year. 3 09/18/2025 Item 1. Board Action Board Chair Shank nominated Suarez to serve as Public Arts Advisory Board Vice Chair. A motion was made by board member Heath, seconded by board member Padhi, to appoint Gloria Suarez as Public Arts Advisory Board Vice Chair for the 2025/2026 year. A vote was taken and the motion passed 4-0 with board members McMurrian, Khan, and Clement absent. 3. Consider and act upon, the Public Art Board Minutes from June 26, 2025. Board Action A motion was made by board member Suarez, seconded by board member Padhi, to approve the June 26, 2025, minutes, as presented. A vote was taken and the motion passed 4-0 with board members McMurrian, Khan, and Clement absent. ADJOURNMENT Board Action A motion was made by board member Suraez, seconded by board member Heath, to adjourn the meeting at 6:12 pm.
