RESOLUTION NO. 88-7-26-88-2
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS ENDORSING THE PROPOSED
PROGRAM OF CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS FOR
COLLIN COUNTY:
WHEREAS, the rapid growth throughout collin county
continues to strain the physical public
facilities, such as streets, drainage facilities,
airports, parks, public buildings, garbage
disposal, etc.; and
WHEREAS, the economic, social and cultural well-being of
the residents of the County depends on retaining
the necessary level of transportation, service
facilities and open space as the County continues
to develop; and
WHEREAS, a committee of Collin County citizens, the
Progress and Evaluation Committee, evaluated the
physical needs of the County for the next five
years and recommended a program of improvements
to the Commissioners' Court in the Spring of 1988
and
WHEREAS, the tax impact of the proposed program will be
minimal, especially when compared to the benefits
of the improvements; and
WHEREAS, the Commissioners' Court has called an election
on August 13, 1988, so the voters of Collin
County can express their wishes concerning the
proposed program of improvements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WYLIE, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, that the City Council
endorses the proposed program of capital
improvements for Collin County and urges all of
the citizens of the City to vote in favor of all
of the propositions on the ballot in the August
13th election.
