RESOLUTION NO. 9;;- 5':/.1 - 9~ -/
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT THE COUNTY OF
COLLIN INCLUDE THE CITY OF WYLIE AND ITS
EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION IN THE COLLIN
COUNTY PRIVATE SEWAGE FACILITIES PERMITTING
PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO A COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE
COMMISSIONERS COURT FOR SAID PROGRAM
WHEREAS, improperly installed and maintained private sewage
facilities pose a threat to the health and welfare
of the citizens of the City of Wylie and its
extraterritorial jurisdiction; and,
WHEREAS, the County of Collin, Texas has adopted rules and
procedures for the installation, inspection and
permitting of private sewage facilities in its
Court Order No. 83-194-4-4 in accordance with
rules and standards of the Texas Department of
Water Resources and the Texas Department of
Health; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wylie, Texas has
determined that participation in the Collin County
Private Sewage Facilities Permitting Program is an
effective means of protecting the public health
and welfare; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS, THAT:
