Resolution 92-03 ~ lid' ~ RESOLUTION NO. 9;;- 5':/.1 - 9~ -/ A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT THE COUNTY OF COLLIN INCLUDE THE CITY OF WYLIE AND ITS EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION IN THE COLLIN COUNTY PRIVATE SEWAGE FACILITIES PERMITTING PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE COMMISSIONERS COURT FOR SAID PROGRAM WHEREAS, improperly installed and maintained private sewage facilities pose a threat to the health and welfare of the citizens of the City of Wylie and its extraterritorial jurisdiction; and, WHEREAS, the County of Collin, Texas has adopted rules and procedures for the installation, inspection and permitting of private sewage facilities in its Court Order No. 83-194-4-4 in accordance with rules and standards of the Texas Department of Water Resources and the Texas Department of Health; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wylie, Texas has determined that participation in the Collin County Private Sewage Facilities Permitting Program is an effective means of protecting the public health and welfare; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1 The Commissioners of the County of hereby requested to include the City its Extraterritorial Jurisdiction in County private Sewage Facilities Program Collin are of Wylie and the Collin permi tting SECTION 2 An official forwarded to consideration copy of this resolution the Commissioners Court shall be for their SECTION 3 The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a Cooperative Agreement for participation in said program PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE l2TH DAY OF MAY, 1992.
