Resolution 94-02 RESOLUTION 94- r9-. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS APPOINTING NORA L. GREEN AS DEPUTY CITY SECRETARY WHEREAS, it is permissible under State Law, Local Charter, and otherwise to appoint one or more Deputy City Secretary(s); and, WHEREAS, the City of Wylie does not currently have anyone appointed or serving in the office of Deputy City Secretary; and, WHEREAS, the position and responsibilities of the city secretary are such that they are vital to the efficient and orderly operation of City government and the various functions and duties therein encompassed, consequently there is a need to have a person appointed to step in and act as City Secretary in the event of the absence or inability of the City Secretary to act on behalf of the City; and, WHEREAS, the City Manager and the City Secretary have advised the City Council that Nora L. Green is a competent and trustworthy person who could ably serve in such capacity; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS that Nora L. Green be, and she hereby is, appointed as the Deputy City Secretary of the City of Wylie, to have and possess all of the powers, rights, authority and responsibilities of the City Secretary in the absence or inability of the City Secretary to so act. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the appointment as herein provided shall be effective immediately upon on the passage hereof, and shall continue thereafter until rescinded by the City Council or resigned by the said appointee.
