CALL TO ORDER
COMMENTS ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS
Any member of the public may address Board regarding an item that is not listed on the Agenda. Members of the public must
fill out a form prior to the meeting in order to speak. Board requests that comments be limited to three minutes for an indiv idual,
six minutes for a group. In addition, Board is not allowed to converse, deliberate or take action on any matter presented during
citizen participation.

Public Arts Advisory Board Regular Meeting Minutes
September 18, 2025 – 6:00 PM
2nd Floor Conference Room - 300 Country Club Road, Building #100, Wylie, Texas 75098
CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by board member Gloria Suarez at 6:17 pm. Board members present
included: Manoj Padhi, Robert Heath, Eliza Clement, and Afshan Khan. Board chair Steve Shank and board
member Chantelle McMurrian were absent.
PAAB Liaison Julie Pannell also attended.
COMMENTS ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS

No citizens came forward.
DISCUSSION ITEMS
All matters listed under the Consent Agenda are considered to be routine by the City Council and will be enacted by
one motion. There will not be separate discussion of these items. If discussion is desired, that item will be removed
from the Consent Agenda and will be considered separately.
A. Walking Trails Phase 2, (Yoshi Wright) Update.
Board Discussion
PAAB Liaison Pannell updated the board artist Wright is currently working on the second piece, “Ancestors
Voice,” with an estimated completion date at the end of September.
B. Walking Trails Phase 3, (Sonny Behan) Update.
Board Discussion
PAAB Liaison Pannell informed the board that artist Behan has completed the large-scale model of “Echoes
on the Prairie.” The board reviewed photos of the large-scale model and is ready for the artist to send it to
the foundry to be bronzed.
C. Walking Trails Phase 3, (Seth Vandable) Update.

PAAB Liaison Pannell will share updates on artist Vandable’s progress via email to the board once she
receives a response.
D. “Revery” Art Dedication Update.
Board Discussion
PAAB Liaison Pannell updated the board on a possible dedication date in November and questions from
the artist on the current landscape around “Revery.” The Parks and Recreation department is working with
the artist Katy Antill on a new landscape and paver design to allow the viewer to stand closer to the artwork.
REGULAR AGENDA
1. Consider and act upon, the Public Art Board Minutes from 7-17-2025
Board Action
A motion was made by board member Clement, seconded by board member Padhi, to approve the July 17,
2025, minutes, as presented. A vote was taken and the motion passed 5-0 with board members McMurrian
and Shank absent.
ADJOURNMENT

A motion was made by board member Padhi, seconded by board member Khan, to adjourn the meeting at
6:29 pm. A vote was taken and the motion passed 5-0 with board members McMurrian, and Shank absent.
