Members of the public must fill out a form prior to the meeting in order to speak. Board requests that comments be limited to three minutes for an indiv idual, six minutes for a group. Public Arts Advisory Board Regular Meeting Minutes May 21, 2026 – 6:00 PM Council Chambers - 300 Country Club Road, Building #100, Wylie, Texas 75098 CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by board Vice Chair Gloria Suarez at 6:05 pm. Board members present included: Manoj Padhi, Robert Heath, Afshan Khan, and Eliza Clement. Board members Steve Shank and Chantelle McMurrian were absent. PAAB Liaison Julie Pannell also attended. COMMENTS ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS Any member of the public may address Council regarding an item that is not listed on the Agenda. In addition, Council is not allowed to converse, deliberate or take action on any matter presented during citizen participation. No citizens came forward. DISCUSSION ITEMS All matters listed under the Consent Agenda are considered to be routine by the City Council and will be enacted by one motion. There will not be separate discussion of these items. If discussion is desired, that item will be removed from the Consent Agenda and will be considered separately. A. Walking Trails Phase 2, (Yoshi Wright) Update. Board Discussion PAAB Liaison Pannell updated the board that artist Wright is working to finalize a revised set of mound design plans. The pavers in the original design do not fall within his original budget, and the revised design will help with cost savings and overall maintenance issues. The revised design will be sent to Wright’s architect for structural review, and then stamped by an engineer before work on the mounds is set to begin. B. Walking Trails Phase 3, (Sonny Behan) Update. Board Discussion PAAB Liaison Pannell informed the board that artist Behan’s “Echoes on the Prairie” statue has completed bronzing and is assembled and standing erect on its base. Behan will paint the base and deer and prepare the statue for shipping from South Africa in the coming weeks. C. Walking Trails Phase 3, (Seth Vandable) Update. 4 07/16/2026 Item 3. Board Discussion PAAB Liaison Pannell shared that Seth Vandable’s “Native American Hunter” has been cast in bronze and is in the assembly phase. Patina will be applied once assembly is complete. REGULAR AGENDA 1. Consider and act upon, the Public Art Board Minutes from 4-16-2026. Board Action A motion was made by board member Khan, seconded by board member Padhi, to approve the April 15, 2026, minutes, as presented. A vote was taken, and the motion passed 5-0 with board members Shank and McMurrian absent. ADJOURNMENT Board Action A motion was made by board member Clement, seconded by board member Heath, to adjourn the meeting at 6:15 pm.
