The Construction company is still working on punch list items. However, there

order to replace the ones that were too short. Counter tops are the wrong color
and they will be replaced. Signage will be installed before the Grand Opening.
3. Discuss Quarterly Report.
Mignon highlighted the fact the Library has experienced a 25% increase in
circulation in the first six months of FY 97 compared to the same six months in
FY 96. Members of the Library Advisory Board expressed a concern about the
parking issues and vandalism. Mignon explained that there is a new parking lot
being built which will help relieve some of the cars from the Library's parking lot.
4. Library Grand Opening on April 21, 1997
Mignon led a discussion of the details of the Grand Opening. She informed the
Board of the changes made in the menu by the City Council. The Board
Members are going to be assisting with Library tours, greeting citizens, and
organizing the groups before the event. After the meeting was officially
adjourned, Mignon provided the Board with a tour of the completely renovated
facility.

Leon Isbell, owner of Point of Presence, has a public forum on the internet
entitled "Wylie Speaks." Leon has linked the local web pages to the forum, and
one of those pages is the Library's web page. The City is working with the
Economic Development Corporation and the Chamber of Commerce to form a
web page. Requests for Proposals were sent out to local vendors in early April
and are due back on April 25. The Library's web address is on the April
newsletter.
