PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION
CITY OF WYLIE
MONDAY, JANUARY 4, 1993
The City of Wylie Planning and Zoning Commission met in regular session at 6:30 P.M. Monday,
January 4, 1993 in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Complex. A quorum was present and a
notice was posted in the time and manner required by law. Those present were Chairman,
Gilbert Welch;Vice Chairman,Bart Peddicord; Mike Hawkins, Cleo Adams,Billy Mills,Richard
Eckman and Bobby Jennings. Staff members present were Building Official, Michael Schmidt.
ITEM 1 - CONSIDER APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF THE DECEMBER 7, 1992 MEETING:
A correction was made in Item 2, it states "request form" and should have read "request from". .
motion was made by Cleo Adams and seconded by Billy Mills to approve the minutes as
corrected. Motion carried all in favor( 6 Votes).
ITEM 2 - CONSIDER APPROVAL OF THE FINAL PLAT FOR ST. ANTHONY CATHOLIC
CHURCH: Michael Schmidt went over St. Anthony Catholic Church final Plat with the members.
He stated St. Anthony Catholic Church, located at 404 North Ballard, wanted to remove the
property line and make the area into one lot. Staff recommends approval of the Final Plat. A
motion was made by Billy Mills and seconded by Bobby Jennings to recommend approval of the
St Anthony's Final Plat to go to the City Council. ( 5 in favor 1 abstain)
MEM 3- CONSIDER A PRELIMINARY PLAT FOR MC MILLEN FARMS SUBDIVISION:
Michael Schmidt, Building Official, went over the McMillen Farms Subdivision Preliminary
Plat A discussion was held and determined by the Board that for the proposed use McMillen
Farms would have to have a zone change from Agriculture to Single Family 3 for portion of the
property. A motion was made by Mike Hawkins and seconded by Billy Mills to deny approval of
the Preliminary Plat. Motion Carried, all in favor( 7 Votes).
ITEM 4 - CTIIZEN PARTICIPATION: None.
ITEM 5 - ADJOURNMENT: A motion was made and seconded for adjournment. Chairman
Welch adjourned the meeting.
