Memo
To: Planning &Zoning Commissioners
From: Mindy Manson, Assistant City Manager

Re: July 18 Meeting
For the first P&Z meeting after Council Board appointments, we are fortunate to have
a very light agenda which indudes the election of the chair and vice-chair and a
public hearing regarding a single lot residential plat. I will be out on vacation and
have asked Sherry Sefko of Dunkin Sefko &Associates to be present to answer any
questions you may have regarding the plat. Sherry has been assisting the City on a
consulting basis in reviewing plats, site plans and zone changes.
We will be scheduling a joint worksession between the City Council and the Planning
& Zoning Commission within the next few weeks. Dunkin Sefko & Associates, in
conjunction with City Attorney Richard Abernathy, will be presenting everything you
ever wanted to know about planning issues. We will be contacting you soon to
identify convenient dates.
Finally, the City Council will be holding a public hearing on July 25 to consider the
new residential zoning districts. We will resume discussions on the next phase of the
Zoning Ordinance re-write in August. For those of you who are new, we will bring
you up to date during the August 1 P&Z meeting.
If you need any additional information or have any questions, please do not hesitate
to let us know.
