With no further comments from the floor , the public hearing was closed and the item returned to the table for discussion . A discussion concerning the uses permitted under the proposed zoning ordinance ensued and it was noted that under the proposed zoning ordinance , the B-2 designation would allow for the bowling alley without a specific use permit . The Public hearing was opened by Chairman Crane who asked for comments from the floor . Mr . Jeffries presented a concept drawing of the property . With no further comment , the public hearing was closed and the item returned to the table for discussion . Pappas explained that several years ago this property had been zoned PUD at the request of the owner , Mr . Switzer . The property was never developed under that designation and the property changed hands with the intended use being appropriately retail . This is actually a matter of housekeeping since there is no time limit on the PUD designation. Mr . Pappas explained that a special use permit is renewable each year and while the staff has no objections to granting such a specific use permit on a temporary basis , would probably not recommend approval for renewal . The public hearing was opened by Chairman Crane . Mr . Jeffries stated that the portable building would only be used for a matter of a few months and would be located on tract 3 , on the northeast corner of the Rustic Oaks development .
