06-21-1984 (Zoning Board of Adjustment) Minutes ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS
JUNE 21, 1984
7:00 P.M.
The Wylie Zoning Board of Adjustments met on Thursday, June 21, 1984 at
7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall . Chairman Richard Hampton
presided. A quorum was present and notice of the meeting had been posted
for the time and in the manner required by law. Those in attendance were
Chairman Richard Hampton, Board members Gary Ludwick and John Hamilton,
City Secretary Carolyn Jones, C. E.O. & P.W. D. Roy Faires and Richard Parker.
Anna Starnes was absent.
Chairman Hampton called the meeting to order and stated the order of
business is a variance of the separation fence between residential and
business properties.
Richard Parker stated he was building an office building. There is a lot
next to this building zoned and being used as residential . Mr. Parker's
main reason for requesting this variance is that the fence will have to
be taken down in the near future. Mr. Parker also feels putting up this
fence would block the view of this one residential lot.
Roy Faires stated the ordinance states that a fence be put up to separate
residential from business. Mr. Faires said that staff will have no
problems with this Board' s decision. If the Board does request the
fence be put up, it does not have to be a masonry fence.
Motion was made by Gary Ludwick to grant variance that no fence has to
be erected. Seconded by John Hamilton. All in favor.
Motion to adjourn was made by Gary Ludwick. Seconded by John Hamilton.
All in favor.
