RITA & TRUETT SMITH PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD MINUTES July 22 , 1991 The Library Board of the City of Wylie met in regular session on July 22 , 1991 , in the workroom of the Rita & Truett Smith Public Library, at 7 :00 P .M. Carolyn Jones , City Secretary, administered the Oath of Office to Pat Guess and Ronnie Bentley. A quorum was then present and notice of the meeting was posted in the time and manner required by law. Those present were: Retha Tibbals , Mary Jo Smith, Pat Guess , Shirley Burnett , Ronnie Bentley, and Phyllis Floyd, Library Director . ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN OF THE LIBRARY BOARD: Retha Tibbals was elected chairman of the Library Board. ELECTION OF VICE-CHAIRMAN OF THE LIBRARY BOARD: Pat Guess was elected vice-chairman of the Library Board APPROVAL OF MINUTES FOR June 24, 1991 : Minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted . REPORT ON SUMMER READING CLUB: Phyllis Floyd commended Gerry Klesell for her efforts in making Camp Wanna Read a success . The total enrollment was 72 with the majority of the children attending the sessions . Among the activities were reading logs and T-shirt painting . The program was well within the budget allotted for the program. MEMORIALS TO THE LIBRARY: When memorials are given to the library, the director purchases book from the "best sellers" lists with a memorial name plate placed in the books . Meeting Adjourned .
