A quorum was present and notice of the meeting was posted in the time and manner required by law. Those present were : Retha Tibbals , Pat Guess , Mary Jo Smith, Betty Stephens , Shirley Burnett , and Phyllis Floyd , library director . APPROVAL OF MINUTES FOR FEBRUARY 24 , 1992 : Minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted . RIGHT TO KNOW: A campaign to call 1-800-530-8888 to vote "yes" for libraries is being held March 16 through April 11 . Book- marks are being distributed and articles written for newspapers . NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK: The Scarborough Faire promoter has donated two passes to the library and two passes to the literacy program for the Faire . Also , there will be 100 coupons good for $2 . 00 off admission price which will be given away during National LibraryWeek, April 5-11 . Two tickets will be for new card applicants , and two tickets will be drawn at random. News releases will be written for Library Week. SUMMER READING CLUB: The Mikendelin Puppeteers will be at the library June 15 for all participants in the Summer Reading Club. The Reading Club will be held three days a week for six weeks - with a different age group on each day . There will be a story and a craft each day . Participants will keep a log of books read during the week with a special award given at the end of the week. Meeting adjourned . WINNERS OF THE SCARBOROUGH FAIRE TICKETS The Rita & Truett Smith Public Library has drawn the winning names for the tickets to the Scarborough Faire Renaissance Festival .
