February 14, 1994
The Library Board of the City of Wylie met in regular session
on February 14, 1994, in the Rita & Truett Smith Public
Library, at 7 : 00 P .M. A quorum eras present and notice of the
meeting was posted in the time and manner required by law.
Those present were: Pat Guess , Jerri Smith, Cathy Weather-
spoon, Elizabeth Allen, Shirley Burnett , and Phyllis Floyd ,
Librarian.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM Je,N_ARY 10 , 1994 : The minutes were
approved after the correction of the spelling of Jerri Smith.
MONTHLY REPORTS: Circulation at the library has increased .
The present Greenthumb employee is to be paid by the city .
Greenthumb will provide another person if one can be found .
Qualifications or restrictions include being a senior citizen
with a yearly income of $8 , 700 . or under for a single person
and $11 , 000 . for a couple .
SHARE METLS: The program should be on line by the end of
February . Among other advantages of the program will be that
inter-library loans can be processed more quickly, and in-
formation can be located quicker . It will reduce the cost
of stocking the library. Wylie was one of five libraries in
the NETLS system to be awarded the software .
SECURITY SYSTEM: Purchase of a security system for the library
is still on hold .
