Resolution 1938 d A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO MASE AN OFFER TO THE TEXAS PO',Mi AND LIGHT COMPANY TO PURCHASE ITS POLE LINE DISTRIBUTION WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS. 'MIEREAS the City of Wylie has filed with the Public Works Administra- tion an application for aid in financing the construction of a munic- ipal electric light and power plant, and 19HEREAS the Public Works Administration requires that a bona fide offer be made to purchase the competing utility property, prior to making an allotment of funds, and WHEREAS the City of Wylie has caused a valuation to be n..ade of the present worth of the properties of the Texas Power & Light Company within the City limits, and wHEREAS said valuation shows said properties to be worth the sum of four thousand five hundred dollars ($500.00). THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PiYLIE that the Mayor be, and hereby is, authorised and directed to make an official offer to the Texas Power & Light Company to purchase all of its properties in the City of Wylie known as the pole line distribution system, including poles, wires, transformers, meters, street lights and all accessories and appurtenances for the sum of four thousand five hundred dollars ($14500.00) in current funds, the condition of the offer being it become effective only upon and after an allotment of funds by the Public Works Administration. CERTIFICATE OF CITY CLERK. I, Jesse Callaway, the duly elected, qualified and acting City Clerk of the City of Wylie, Texas, do hereby certify that I have compared the attached copy of a tesolution entitled "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO MASE AN OFFER TO THE TEXAS POWER.
