Library Budget: • Mid-Year Budget Requests: o We are asking for a seasonal shelving clerk due to the increased amount of shelving during the summer. This would be a position that would be for the summer only. o Also, additional hours are being requested for current part-time staff to cover sick leave and vacations for full time staff. April 8, 2013 Library Advisory Board Regular Meeting Minutes Page 2 of 2 o All mid-year requests have been submitted and will probably show up in the budget in April or the first part of May. • FY14 Budget: o The budget is currently being worked on requesting more hours which will mean an increase in staff. Another clerk will need to be added and additional hours will be needed for existing part-time staff. o Staff is preparing and submitting their program requests for the year. o The book budget will probably be increased because it had not been increased for the last two budget cycles. o Additional laptops will be requested for the Teen Center. The laptops are always being used and, at times, there is a wait. Two I-Pads were added to see if they would be used; however, it was determined that actual laptops were needed to use for homework.
