Resolution 72 - Compensation for Employees WHEREAS: the City Council of the City of Wylie recognizes the value of the city employees and, WHEREAS: the City Council wishes to establish just compensation for the employees, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS: 1. That there be included in the yearly budget funds to be designated as salary increases for the city employees. 2. That the amount of said funds shall be determined by recommendation of the City Manager and approval of the City Council. 3. That the salary increases shall not be automatic but will be put into effect upon the recommendation of the department head and approval of the City Manager by use of the following schedule: Six months after emploYment each employee will be reviewed for an increase. Thereafter salary increases will be scheduled for review on a yearly basis, except that each department head may recommend one-half of the yearly increase each six months for outstanding employee performance.
