ANNEXING ORDINANCE Number 7-57 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE HEFEINAFTER DESCRIBED TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF WYLIE, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, AND EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID CITY SO AS TO INCLUDE SAID HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS, AND GRANTING TO SAID TERRITORY AND TO ALL FUTURE INHABITANTS OF SAID PROPERTY ALL OF THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS AND BINDING SAID FUTURE INHABI- TNATS BY ALL OF THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES OF SAID CI TY . WHEREAS, a petition for annexation has been duly signed and acknowledged by each and every person or corporation hav- ing an interest in the following described territory, to- wit: Situated in Collin County, Texas, containing 0.345 acres of land in the E. C. Davidson Survey, Abstract No. 267, a part of that certain tract of 39.59 acres of land conveyed to Jick Housewright and Lillie Housewright by Clayton A. Stone and wife, Lena H. Stone, by Warranty Deed dated July 6, 1957, and duly recorded in Vol. 530, Pape 476 of the Deed Records of Collin County, Texas, to which reference is here now made, said 0.345 acre tract being described by metes and bounds, as follows, to-wit: BEGINNING at an iron bar set in the center of a North and South road ditch on the East line of said 39.59 acre tract at the Northeast corner of said 0.345 acre tract herein described. Said iron bar bears South 0 deg. 38' West 386.3 feet from an iron bolt in the edge of a gravel road at the Northeast corner of said 39.59 acre tract; THENCE North 89 deg. 22' West 175.4 feet to an iron bar set at the Northwest corner of said 0.345 acre tract; THENCE South 0 deg. 38' West 86.3 feet to an iron bar; THENCE South 89 deg. 22' East 175.4 feet to an iron bar set in a ditch on the East line of the Jick Housewright and Lillie Housewright 39.59 acre tract; THENCE North 0 deg. 38' East in the center line of said road ditch on the East line of said 39.59 acre tract, 86.3feet to the place of beginning, and containing 0.345 acres of land, and being the same land described in deed from Jick House- wright and Lillie Housewright, husband and wife, to Fred Christopher and wife, Avis Christopher, recorded in Vol. 531, Page 527 of the Collin County Deed Records. WHEREAS, said tract of land is contiguous and adjacent to the City of Wiylie, Texas, and Is not more than one-half (1/2) mile in width, and WHEREAS, said petition was presented to the City council on the 20th day of December, 1957, such date being not less than 5 and not more than 30 days from the date hereof, and WHEREAS, after hearing such petition and the arguments for and against the same the City Council has voted to grant such petition and to annex said territory to the city of Wylie, Texas; NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Wylie, Texas: That the following described property, to-wit: Situated in Collin County, Texas, containing 0.345 acres of land in the E.C. Davidson Survey, Abstract No. 267, a part of that certain tract of 39.59 acres of land conveyed to Jick Housewright and Lillie Housewright by Clayton A. Stone and wife, Lena M. stone, by Warranty Deed dated July 6, 1957, and duly recorded in Vol. 530, Page 476 of the Deed Records of Collin County, Texas, to which reference is here now made, said 0.345 acre tract being des- cribed by metes and bounds, as follows to-wit: BEGINNING at an iron bar set in the centeR of a North and South road ditch on the East line of said 39.L;9 acre tract at the Northeast corner of said 0.345 acre tract herein described. Said iron bar bears South 0 deg. 381 West 386.3 feet from an iron bolt in the edge of a gravel road at the Northeast corner of said 39.59 acre tract; THENCE North 89 deg. 22' East l75.4 feet to an iron bar set at the Northwest corner of said 0.345 acre tract; THENCE South 0 deg. 38' West 86.3 feet to an iron bar; THENCE South 89 deg. 22' East l75.4 feet to an iron bar set in a ditch on the East line of the Jick Housewright and Lillie Housewright 39.59 acre tract; THENCE North 0 deg. 38' East in the center line of said road ditch on the East line of said 39.59 acre tract, 86.3 feet to the place of beginning, and containing 0.345 acres of land, and being the same land described in deed from Jick House- wright and Lillie Housewright, husband and wife, to Fred Christopher and wife, Avis Christopher, recorded in Vol. 531, Pa3e 527 of the Collin County Deed Records. to be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Wylie, Collin County, Texas, and that the boundary limits of the City of Wylie, Texas, be and the same are hereby extended to include the above described territory within the City limits of the City of Wylie, Texas, and the same shall here- after be included within the territorial limits of said city, and said land and the future inhabitants thereof shall here- after be entitled to all rights and privileges of other citi- zens of the City of Wylie, Texas" and shall be bound by the acts and ordinance of said city. The City Clerk is hereby directed to file with the County Clerk of Collin County, Texas, a certified copy of this ordinance.
