1958 Ordinance-Annexing & Extending Boundary Limits (2) ANNEXING ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF WYLIE, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, AND EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS 0 F SAID CITY SO AS TO INCLUDE SAID HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS, AND GRANTING TO SAID TERRITORY AND TO ALL FUTURE INHABITANTS OF SAID PROPERTY ALL OF THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CI TIZmrS AND BINDING SAID FUTURE INHABI- TANTs BY ALL OF THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY. WHEREAS, a petition for annexation has been duly signed and acknowledged by each and every person or corporation hav- ing an interest in the following described territory, to- wit: FIRST TRACT: Being a part of the James Truitt Survey and Beginning 80 feet North of the N. E. Corner of lot now owned by A. F. McDonald at a stake on the East line of the S. B. Shelby survey; Thence East Ninety Nine yards to a stake; Thence North Three Hundred and Five yards to a stake; Thence West One Hundred and Four yards to a stake; Thence South Three Hundred and seven yards to the place of beginning; and containing Six(6) acres of land, be the same more or less. Being the tract of land that was deeded to C. M. Cook by J. V. Russell, et al on the 5th day of August 1909 and duly recorded in Vol. 158 on Pages 451-460 deed records Collin County, Texas, to which reference is herenow made for further description of the same. SECOND TRACT: Situatedin the Town of Wylie, Collin County, Texas and being a part of the James Truitt survey and Beginning at a point, the same being 316 feet North of the North West corner of a lot conveyed by J. V. Russell and wife, N. J. Russell to the Roman Catholic Church; Thence North to the Northwest corner of said lot 94 feet; Thence East 238 feet, the Northeast Corner thereof; Thence South 94 feet to the Southeast corner; Thence West 238 feet to the place of beginning. And being the same tract of land that was deeded to C. M. Cook by J. W. Russell, et al on the 1st, Day of September 1909 and recorded in Vol. 158 on Pages 455-456 deed records Collin County, Texas I to which reference is herenow made for further description of the same. The above described tracts of land are the same tracts of land this date conveyed to J. O. Morris and Katie Morris by Raymond S. Posey and Vera Clay Posey, husband and wife to which reference is herenow made for further description of the same. Including the residence and all buildings situated on said property and being the property where R. A. Cook and wife, Mary Cook resided prior to their deaths. WHEREAS, said tract of land is contiguous and adjacent to the City of Wylie, Texas, and is not more than one-half (1/2) mile in width, and WHEREAS, said petition was presented to the City Council day of , 1958, such date on the being not less than 5 and not more than 30 days from the date hereof, and WHEREAS, after hearing such petition and the arguments for and against the same the City Council has voted to grant such petition and to annex said territory to the City of Wylie, Texas; NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Wylie, Texas: That the following described property, to-wit: FIRST TRACT: Being a part of the James Truitt Survey and Beginning 80 feet North of the N. And being the same tract of land that was deeded to C. M. Cook by J. W. Russell, et al on the 1st, Day of September, 1909 and recorded in Vol. 158 on Pages 455-456 deed records of Collin County, Texas, to which reference is herenow made for further description of the same. Cook and wife, Mary Cook resided prior to their deaths. be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Wylie, Collin County, Texas, and that the boundary limits of the City of Wylie, Texas, be and the same are hereby extended to include the above described territory within the City limits of the City of Wylie, Texas, and the same shall here- after be included within the territorial limits of said city, and said land and the future inhabitants thereof shall here- after be entitled to all rights and privileges of other citi- zens of the City of Wylie, Texas, and shall be bound by the acts and ordinance of said city. The City Clerk is hereby directed to file with the County Clerk of Collin County, Texas, a certified copy of this ordinance. PASSED by an affirmative vote of all members of the City Council, this day of October, 1958.
