1959 Ordinance-Annexing & Extending Boundary Limits ANNEXING ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF WYLIE, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, AND EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID CITY SO AS TO INCLUDE SAID HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS, AND GRANTING TO SAID TERRITORY AND TO ALL FUTURE INHABITANTS OF SAID PROPERTY ALL OF THE RIGIITS AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS AND BINDING SAID FUTURE INHABITANTS BY ALL OF THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY. WHEREAS, a petition for annexation has been duly signed and ac- knowledged by each and every person or corporation having an interest in the following described territory, to-wit: All that certain lot, tract or parcel of land, situeted in Collin County, Texas, and being 31 acres of land, more or less, out of the E. C. Davidson survey of 320 acres, Abstract Number 266, and described by metes and bounds as follows, to-wit: BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of an 106 acre tract of land out of said survey heretofore owned by D. W. Daniel and known as the D. W. Daniel Homestead, a stake; THENCE North 29.13 chains a stake; THENCE West 11.65 chains to the Northeast corner of a 30 acre tract of land deeded to Mattie Walden by J. W. Daniel and wife, Allie Daniel, Daisy Pitts and husband J. A. Pitts, said deed dated June 14, 1921, a stake; THENCE South along Mattie Walden's East Line 27.66 chains a stake; THENCEWest 1.12 chains a stake; THENCE South 1.47 chains to the Plano and Mill Public road, a stake; THENCE East 12.77 chains along the North side of said pub- lic road to the place of beginning; and containing 31 acres of land, more or less, after deducting 1.60 acres for Right of Way occupied by the St. L01US and Southwestern Railroad. Being the same land and premises that was conveyed by C. Truett Srnith and wife, Rita G. Smith, to R. L. Vandaveer, recorded in Volume 532, Page 271, Deed Records of Collin County, Texas, to which reference is here now made for all purposes. WHEREAS, said tract of land is contiguous and adjacent to the City of Wylie, Texas, and is not more than one-half (~) mile in width, and WHEREAS, said petition was presented to the City Council on the 1st day of September 1959, such date being not less than 5 and not more than 30 days from the date hereof, and WHEREAS, after hearing such petition and the arguments for and against the same the City Council has voted to grant such petition and to annex said territory to the City of Wylie, Texas; NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Wylie, Texas: 145 That the following described property, to-wit: All that certain lot, tract or parcel of land, situated in Collin County, Texas, and being 31 acres of land, more or less, out of the E. Vandaveer, recorded in Volume .532, Page 271, Deed Records of Collin County, Texas, to which reference is here now made for all purposes. be and the same is hereby amexed to the City of Wylie, Collin County, Texas, and that the boundary limits of the City of Wylie, Texas, be and the same are hereby extended to include the above described territory within the City Limits of the ,City of WYlie, Texas, and the same shall hereafter be included within the territorial liwits of said city, and said land and the future inhabitants thereof shall hereafter be entitled to all rights and privileges of other citizens of the City of Wylie, Texas, and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said city. The City Clerk is hereby directed to file with the County Clerk of Collin County, Texas, a certified copy of this ordinance.
