ANNEXING ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED TERRITORY
TO THE CITY OF WYLIE, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, AND EXTENDING
THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID CITY SO AS TO INCLUDE SAID
HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS, AND
GRANTING TO SAID TERRITORY AND TO ALL FUTURE INHABITANTS
OF SAID PROPERTY ALL OF THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER
CITIZENS AND BINDING SAID FUTURE INHABITANTS BY ALL OF THE
ACTS AND ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, the City of Wylie has owned for many years the following
described territory, to-wit:
All that certain lot, tract or parcel of land situated
in the County of Collin, in the State of Texas, and
Being a parcel of land in the E. C. Davidson Survey, Ib-
stract No. 267, and being also a portion of the Aurelio C. Mar-
tinez 111.10 acre tract of land as described in Volume 336, Page
3, of the Collin County Deed Records, and being more particularly
described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point which is North 88 degrees 00' West,
a distance of 209.51 feet, more or less, from the Southeast cor-
ner of the Aurelio C. Martinez tract, said corner being located
in the center of a dirt road, and said corner being the point des-
cribed as located between Deed Calls No. 6 and 7 In the Aurelio C.
Martinez tract description;
THENCE North 88 degrees 00' West, a distance of 363.83
feet, more or less, with centerline of a dirt road and aIong the
South property line of the Aurelio C. Martinez tract to a point
for corner;
THENCE North 2 degrees 04' 51" East, a distance of 256.67
feet, more or less, along an existing fence line to an iron pin;
THENCE North 2 degrees 00' 24" East, a distance of 211.60
feet, more or less, along an existing fence line to an iron pin
cor corner;
THENCE South 82 degrees 20' 06" East, a distance of 180
feet, more or less, to an iron pin;
THENCE South 60 degrees 20' 06" East, a distance of 191.47
feet, more or less, to an iron pin;
THENCE South 0 degrees, 20' 06" East, a distance of 361.91
feet, more or less, to the point of beginning, and CONTAINING 3.53
acres of land.
And being the same property conveyed to the City of Wylie
by Aurelio C. Martinez by Warranty Deed dated July 20, 1956, and
recorded in Volume 519, Page 197, Collin County Deed Records.
WHEREAS, said tract of land is contiguous and adjacent to the City of
Wylie, Texas, and is not more than one-half (1/2) mile in width, and
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of
Wylie, Texas:
That the following described property, to-wit:

be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Wylie, Collin County, Texas,
and that the boundary limits of the City of Wylie, Texas, be and the same
are hereby extended to include the above described territory within the City
Limits of the City of Wylie, Texas, and the same shall hereafter be included
within the territorial limits of said city, and said land and the future in-
habitants thereof shall hereinafter be entitled to all rights and privileges
of other citizens of the City of Wylie, Texas, and shall be bound by the acts
and ordinances of said city.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to file with the County Clerk of
Collin County, Texas, a certified copy of this ordinance.
PASSED by an affirmative vote of all members of the City Council, this
8 day of September, 1959.
