Library Budget FY14 Review:
The final budget Council Meeting is tomorrow, September 10 at 6:00pm. The library is not getting
additional hours. We did get $2,200.00 to hold a poetry festival and we received a grant of$10,000 to
use for online magazines and to order six I-Pads to loan to patrons to use in the library. We will still
keep some magazine subscriptions to have available for patrons.
Rita Smith included the library in her Will and we will receive up to $5,000.00 per year from her estate.

The Federal Grant that funded the computer lab has ended. We are now in transition to utilize Friends
money to pay for computer teachers. They have agreed to use the funds made from the sale of the
donated books. The next computer classes will begin in October.
The compensation study is still ongoing and will be for a few more months. The last time a study was
conducted was approximately eight years ago. Depending on where employees fall within the range
