council were present. They were: D.W. Click, Mayor; C.R. Hi , F.A. GP]'L+gher
John Sharp, Nathan Eldridge, C.G. Housewright, Aadermen; and Wilosn Housewright
Sectretary.
There were two representitives from Wyatt C. Hedrict Co. of Dallas &
Ft. Worth. The two men explained the functions of the company as to how they
could be of assistance to the city, in securing adequate sewerage and disposal
plants; build roads; and numerous things that might need done. It was their
proposal to come to our city, study the things that need to be done, draw plans
and give and estimate of the cost. This is done at the expense of the Federal
Government, but if these plans are ever put into operation the city would have
to pay the coat of drawing the plans, and any other expense st that occurred
during the planning of the work to be done. If construction is never started
there is no cost to the city. Action on this proposal was postponed until
the next regular meeting.
A contract from T.P.& L. was discussed as to placing new mercury vapor
street light on the main street of Wylie. T.P.& L. was to install the new
lights free of charge. For doMg this they were to be permitted to furnish
the necessary electrical power for these lights for a period of ten years.
It was put in form of a motion that the city accept the proposal by C.R. Hillis
duly seconed by F.A. Gallagher, and carried by a majority of the members of
the st4 council.
A motion was made and carried forting adjurnment until the next regular
or call meeting by the Mayor.
