The City Council, City of Wylie, met in regular session on this date with all
members being present except C.G. Housewright.
The mayor appointed F.A. Gallagher to have the necessary repairs made to the
city jail.
A lengthy discussion was made concerning toads and bridges with no definite
action being taken.
A motion was made by C.R. Hillis and duly seconed by F.A. nrallagher that it be
unlawful to sell Fire Works within the city limits of the City of Wylie. The
penity for this offense was to be a fine of not less than $25.00 plus cost.
The motion carried. •
Motion was made by John Sharp and Seconed by E.N. Eldridge authorizing the City
to purchase twenty (20) Firemen's Caps Tintxmxticnotaxxxknitgx and six Clubs.
Motion Carried.
All Bills were read and ordered paid.
A. Motion was made by F.A. (Iallagher and seconed by C.R. Hillis that the petition
xi in regard to the Fire Plug north of the one at the conner of the C.J. Hidks res-
idence be be posponed until an investigation be made to find it the city has
ample fire hose to justly fight a fire at the north corporated city limits of
the City of Wylie➢ on north Ballard Avenue.
No further business the council adjurned to meet the next regular meeting or
call meeting by the mayor.
