02-15-1946 (City Council) Minutes February 15, 1946
At a Regular Meeting of the Council attended by JA Pitts, DB Willis, E. Housewright,
Nathan Eldridge, C. G. Housewright
A discussion of redeeming $10,000.00 of city bonds revealed the facts that all of the
aldermen were in favor of the redemption. D. B. Willis moved to buy $10,000 of bonds and
seconded by E. Housewright. Motion carried unanimously, bonds ordered paid. Mayor Pitts to
contact Luton Hillis to make the arrangements.
A discussion of additional street lights resulted in the appointment of a committee to which
all requests for lights to be referred. Said committee DB Willis &E Housewright.
The Mayor JA Pitts ordered an election for 2"a day of April(Tuesday) to elect a Mayor, a
Marshall, secretary and 2 aldermen for the City of Wylie, Mr. Riffe was appointed to hold the
election.
