A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WYLIE,
TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY;
AUTHORIZING THE SOLICITATION OF BIDS IN CONNECTION
WITH SAME; PROVIDING FOR REPEALING, SAVINGS AND
SEVERABILITY CLAUSES; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Wylie, Texas ( "City ") is the owner of the following real
property, together with the improvements thereon: (l) a tract of land containing approximately
_.34805_± acres, lots 1 I and 12 of Block 1, Keller's First Addition, an addition to the City of
Wylie, Collin County, Texas, according to the plat recorded in Volume 29, Page, 349, Map
Records, Collin County, Texas, and located at 100 E. Oak Street, Wylie, Texas 75098; (2) a tract
of land containing approximately _.173955`± acres, lot 14 of Block 1, Keller's First Addition,
an addition to the City of Wylie, Collin County, Texas, according to the plat recorded in Volume
29, Page, 349, Map Records, Collin County, Texas, and located at 108 N. Jackson Avenue,
Wylie, Texas 75098; and (3) a tract of land containing approximately .173955_± acres, lot 15 of
Block 1, Keller's First Addition, an addition to the City of Wylie, Collin County, Texas,
according to the plat recorded in Volume 29, Page, 349, Map Records, Collin County, Texas,
and located at I 10 N. Jackson Avenue, Wylie, Texas 75098 (collectively, "Property "); and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wylie, Texas ( "City Council ") has
investigated and determined that it is in the best interest of the City and its citizens to sell the
Property; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is authorized to sell the Property pursuant to Section
253.008, TEX. Loc. Gov'TCODE; and
WHEREAS, the City Council may solicit sealed bids for the potential sale of the Property
in accordance with Section 272.001, TEX. Loc. Gov'TCODE; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is not obligated to accept any bid or offer or to complete a
sale or exchange of the Property pursuant to Section 272.001(d), TEX. Loc. Gov'T CODE; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has investigated and determined that it is in the best
interest of the City and its citizens to authorize the solicitation of bids for the potential sale of the
Property as provided herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS:
SECTION l: Findings Incorporated. The Endings set forth above are incorporated into
the body of this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.

SECTION 2: Solicitation of Competitive Sealed Bids for Sale of Property. The City
Council finds that it is in the best interest of the City and its citizens to solicit competitive sealed
bids for the potential sale of the Property. The City Council finds that it is not obligated to
accept any bid or offer or to complete a sale or exchange of the Property pursuant to Section
272.001(d), TEX. Loc. GOVT CODE.
SECTION 3: Authority of the City Manager. The City Manager, or her designee, is
hereby authorized and directed to publish notice and solicit competitive sealed bids for the
potential sale of the Property in accordance with the procedures set forth in Section 272.001,
TEX. Loc. GOVT CODE, and to present the highest responsive, responsible bid to the City
Council. The City Manager, or her designee, is further authorized to contract, on behalf of the
City Council, with professional appraisers for appraisal services needed by the City from time to
time in connection with the evaluation of the potential sale of the Property. The City Council
hereby ratifies any contracts entered into, prior to the effective date of this Resolution, by the
City Manager, or her designee, with professional appraisers for appraisal services needed for the
evaluation of the potential sale of the Property made the subject of this Resolution.
SECTION 4: Approval of Competitive Sealed Bid Award Method. The City Council
hereby approves the competitive sealed bid award methodology of highest responsive,
responsible bidder.
SECTION 5: Severability. Should any section, subsection, sentence, clause and/or
phrase of this Resolution be declared unconstitutional and/or invalid by a court of competent
jurisdiction, it is expressly provided that any and all remaining portions of this Resolution shall
remain in full force and effect. The City hereby declares that it would have passed this
Resolution, and each section, subsection, clause and /or phrase thereof irrespective of the fact that
any one or more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses and /or phrases may be declared
unconstitutional and /or invalid.
SECTION 6: Savings /Repealing Clause. All provisions of any resolution in conflict
with this Resolution are hereby repealed to the extent they are in conflict. Any remaining
portion of conflicting resolutions shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 7: Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
its passage.
