reported that there was a total of$2,200 in food vendor fees and $2,350. in craft vendor fees bringing the profit total
to$4,550.
Ehrlich noted that PIO Kelly had been talking to the Wylie Downtown Merchants Association about moving all
vendors off Ballard and into the park for the 2015 event.
• Discussion regarding the Wylie Arts Festival and 2014/2015 Sponsorships.
(C. Ehrlich, PAAB Liaison)
Staff Comments
Chair Anne Hiney addressed the board regarding how best to provide sponsorships for the Wylie Arts Festival and
Wylie JazzArts Fest. Board members discussed several options and determined that in lieu of soliciting Individual
sponsorships, before each event, it would be best to combine the sponsorship effort to cover both events. Board
members suggested sponsorships for both events should be solicited now for the Wylie Arts Festival so not to hinder
the ability to advertise sponsors early and include in more coverage areas.
Chair Hiney suggested preparing a brochure that displayed both logos and featured several options for Art Partners
to select, based on funding and advertising options. Board members also suggested adding the main stage as the
title stage for the Presenting Sponsor. Board direction was given to include the following sponsorships in the
brochure: Presenting Sponsor-$7,500
Platinum Partner-$5,000
Gold Partner-$2,500
Silver Partner-$1,000
Bronze Partner-$500
Friends of the Arts Partner-$250

Board Discussion
Chair Hiney addressed the board stating that at the June meeting of PAAB, members approved April 25, 201/as the
date for next year's JazzArts Fest. Staff researched the date to see if other events fell on the same day. It was
brought to our attention that the Denton Jazz Festival is the same weekend. Staff took the liberty to ask WISD band
director Russell Ratterree if Saturday, April 18, 2015 would work for the school district. He has replied that it would.
Hiney requested the board might reconsider the date and change from the 25th to the 18th of April, 2015 if they wish to
avoid the conflict.
