PARKS AND RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD

CALL TO ORDER
This meeting was called to order. Those present were Dan Chestnut,Doug House,Greg Zimmerman,Lisa
Williams,Janice Neely,and Anne Hiney.
CITIZEN PARTICIPATION
No one was present.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. The November 27,2000 meeting minutes were approved. Motion to approve was made
by Doug House and 2nd by Ann Hiney.

DISCUSSION ITEM
3. Discuss and review Athletic Field Policy and Fee Ordinance.
Board members reviewed and discussed the final draft of the Athletic Field Policy and Fee Ordinance.
Attached is the final draft of the policy and ordinance.
Board member Lisa Williams made a motion to accept the final draft of the policy and ordinance. Anne
Hiney 2°d the motion to accept the final draft of the policy and ordinance.
4. Progress Report on Founders
Dan Chestnut commented that if it was possible to have lights completed at Community Park first in order
to have that area playable pending the completion of Founders Park. It was also suggested by Dan that the
City pursue putting in a temporary road and parking area off of Hensley Road in order to make it easier to
access Founders Park.
5. Update on WISD sites-No comments.
6. Update on City Newsletter and PARD brochure-No comments.
7. Update on Summer Concerts
Anne Hiney and Lisa Williams suggested we put signage regarding concerts on poles Downtown and use
billboards near Hwy. 78 and Downtown to advertise concerts. Staff will check on status of these areas for
advertisement..
