PRESENTATION No presentation was given at the meeting. ACTION ITEMS The Library Board Minutes of Monday, April 13, 2015 were approved as presented. DISCUSSION ITEMS Rachel is checking with the City Public Information Officer, Craig Kelly, in regard to Goal 6 and the ability to email or text event information. Craig sends out City event information to the public on a regular basis. A question was brought up as to whether the library catalog has the ability to keep track of the types of searches being made. The ability to do this would assist in knowing what types of additional titles are needed for the collection. Rachel will check on this and have information for the next meeting. Rachel reviewed the Annual Report for 2014 submitted to the Texas State Library and Archives Commission. If the library had not extended its hours it would have fallen below the standards May 11, 2015 Library Advisory Board Regular Meeting Minutes Page 2 of 3 for the city population. This would have resulted in the library losing its accreditation and would no longer be eligible for grants from the state.
