08-18-2015 (Planning & Zoning) Minutes ....4 Wylie Planning and Zoning Commission CITY OF WYLIE Minutes Wylie Planning & Zoning Commission Tuesday August 18, 2015—6:00 pm Wylie Municipal Complex—Council Chambers 300 Country Club Road, Building 100 CALL TO ORDER Chair Ron Smith called the meeting to order at 6:08 PM. In attendance were: Vice-Chair Dennis Larson, Commissioner Sonia Ahmed, Commissioner Randy Owens, and Commissioner Jerry Stiller. Commissioner David Williams and Commissioner Mike McCrossin were absent. Staff present was Renae' 011ie, Planning Director, Jasen Haskins, Sr Planner, and Mary Bradley,Administrative Assistant INVOCATION & PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Commissioner Ahmed gave the invocation and Commissioner Owens led the Pledge of Allegiance_ CITIZENS COMMENTS Chair Smith opened the Citizens Participation. With no one approaching the Commissioners, Chair Smith closed the Citizens Participation. CONSENT ITEMS 1. Consider and act upon approval of the Minutes from the August 4, 2015, Regular Meeting. Board Action A motion was made by Commissioner Stiller and seconded by Commissioner Owens to approve the minutes for August 4, 2015, as submitted. Motion carried 5 —0. REGULAR AGENDA Public Hearing Item 1 —RP 2015-01 Minutes August 18,2015 Wylie Planning and Zoning Board Page 1 of 2 Hold a Public Hearing and consider and act upon a recommendation to the City Council regarding a Replat for Trailsplace Addition Lot 6-B & 6-C, Block A; Being a Replat of Lot 6, Block A of Trailsplace Addition, generally located north of Stone Road and east of Second Street. RP-2015-01 Staff Presentation Mr. Haskins stated that the applicant is requesting a residential Replat to sell a unit from an existing Triplex housing. Lot 6 is part of the tri-plex but not part of this replat. Lot-6B is 0.045 acres, and 0.210 acres for Lot 6-C. In Section 2.8.a of the Subdivision Regulations, a property owner who proposes to replat any portion or sell off any portion of an already approved final plat, must first obtain approval for the replat. Twenty Comment Forms were mailed to surrounding property owners, one comment was returned in favor of the request, and no comment forms were received in opposition. Public Comments Chair Smith opened the Public Hearing. Mr. Ken Pilkenton, P.O. Box 141, McKinney, Texas, represented realtor for the owners, which are the heirs to the subject property. Two of the units were owned by the father who is now deceased; the units were deeded to the son and daughter. One of which desires to sell one of the units, and the other heir desires to rent the other unit. Chair Smith closed the Public Hearing. Board Action A motion was made by Commissioner Stiller, and seconded by Commissioner Ahmed, to recommend approval to the City Council for Replat Trailsplace Lot 6-B and 6-C, Block A. RP 2015-01 Motion carried 5 —0. ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Vice Chair Larson, and seconded by Commissioner Owens to adjourn the meeting at 6:12PM. All Commissioners were in consensus.
