WHEREAS, the Public Funds Investment Act, as amended, requires the City of Wylie to adopt the investment policy by rule, order, ordinance or resolution; and WHEREAS,the Investment Policy was originally approved December 12, 2006; and WHEREAS, the Investment Policy complies with the Texas Government Code, Chapter 2256, Public Funds Investment Act, Subchapter A — Authorized Investments for Governmental Entities and Subchapter B—Miscellaneous Provisions as amended, and authorizes the investment of City funds in safe and prudent investments. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS, THAT the City of Wylie has complied with the requirements of the Public Funds Investment Act and the Investment Policy, attached hereto, is adopted as the investment policy of the City effective September 22, 2015.
